HOW DO I DO IT?
Decide if you are entering the 10K, 5K or junior 2K, then run/jog/walk your chosen distance anywhere, entirely up to you where your location is and at what time of day you run. Your run/jog/walk must be done in one go.
You record your run on a tracking device (Garmin, Strava or a basic stopwatch function on your phone), and then upload your run and time using the "upload my times" button in your race confirmation email.
WHEN DO I DO IT?
You have from today Monday 20th December until midnight on 31st December 2021 to complete your distance, in one go. You will need submit your proof by 7th January 2022.
CAN I RUN IN MORE THAN 1 ENTRY OPTION?
You are more than welcome to enter more than 1 entry option i.e. the 10K and the 5K. You must register for each entry option you plan to run/jog/walk. The medal will be the same medal for all entry options.
WHEN DO I GET MY MEDAL?
These will be posted out within one week of you sending your times/evidence to us by using the "upload my times" button in your confirmation email. There will also be an option to collect from us at our Wilmslow store if you prefer.
The medal is the same medal for the 10K, 5K or Junior 2K option.
RESULTS
There will be a leader board to view your results and compare against other runners participating in the virtual race. CLICK HERE TO VIEW!
H&S/COVID
Ensure that you are following the UK Government and local restriction when completing your virtual run. Consider the time of day you are running, how populated your route will be and social distancing.
Ensure you run safely, notify someone of your whereabouts and carry in case of emergency details. Plan your route in advance and where you can seek help should you require any medical assistance. It is wise to carry a mobile phone in the event of an emergency.
Plan your route, ensure you wear the correct footwear for your terrain and anything under foot i.e. kerbs, cats eyes, bollards, pot holes, boggy sections etc. Be aware of your surroundings and anything you could have a collision with, cars, passing traffic, pedestrians, animals. Pay attention to the weather forecast, avoid running in extreme heat/cold, ensure you have enough hydration or layers for the weather.
Participants of the junior 2K should be accompanied by an adult for safety.
WHEN DO ENTRIES TO THE VIRTUAL RACE CLOSE?
As soon as our limit is reached, this is based on the number of medals available. Be aware the race could be closed with no notice. If you are thinking of taking part virtually, enter now to avoid disappointment.
