We are super excited to offer you the opportunity to earn our iconic Trafford medal. If you're not able to join us on the day for whatever reason we want you to still be able to enjoy your own version of a race day experience! You can run/jog/walk your virtual race at any time from the race date of Sunday 7th March 2027 - make sure you send us your pictures on social media and use: #trafford10k #runnorthwest
ENTRIES
ARE SUBJECT TO MEDAL AVAILABILITY AND WILL CLOSE WHEN ALL MEDALS ARE BOOKED (or on Saturday 6th March 2027)
How does it work?
Pick a day, time and place that suits you, then run, jog or walk your chosen distance in one go. Record it on a GPS watch, Strava or your phone's stopwatch. Then upload your time and evidence using the "Upload my times" button in your race confirmation email.
When can I do it?
Any time from 00:01 on Sunday 7 March 2027 until 11:59pm on Sunday 18 April 2027. Your time and evidence must also be uploaded by then.
When will I get my medal?
Medals start going out on Tuesday 9 March 2027. We aim to post yours within a week of you uploading your time. If you prefer, you can collect it from our Wilmslow store instead.
Results
Your time will appear on a virtual leaderboard, so you can see how you compare with other virtual runners. This is separate from the race day results, and there are no prizes for the virtual race.
Staying safe
If you cannot run
Our race costs are committed long before race day, so we cannot offer refunds or deferrals if you withdraw.
You can transfer your place to another runner for free through your niftyEntries account until [transfer deadline]. The new runner must update all personal, medical and emergency contact details.
Never swap or pass on a number without an official transfer. It invalidates the event insurance and puts runners at risk if they need medical help. Both runners may be disqualified and reported to England Athletics.
If someone else caused an injury that stops you running, we encourage you to claim your entry fee from them and will support your claim where we can.
If we change or cancel the event
We may change the course, start time or facilities without notice for safety reasons, or where the police, local authority, landowner or licensing body requires it.
If we cancel for extreme weather or another safety reason, we will try to reschedule. If we cannot, you can choose a refund or a transfer to another RNW event this year or next.
If we cancel for reasons outside our control, such as a pandemic or legal or logistical restrictions, your entry fee will be transferred to another RNW event of your choice.
